Legacy OpenStudio Installation Bugs

I just installed Legacy OpenStudio v1.0.14 on a new machine (Windows 10, Sketchup Pro 2015) and the plug-in seems to load but it exhibits some buggy behavior. When I click on the New Zone tool (or navigate to it from the menu) I get the blue plus sign next to the cursor but when I click to place the zone nothing happens. I'm also not able to open or save an IDF - when I click on the toolbar nothing happens. Strangely enough, though, the Shade Tool works just fine.

I've installed Legacy OpenStudio on a number of computers and operating systems and this is the first time I've had any trouble at all. Has anyone experienced something like what I'm describing? Were you able to fix it?

Are you sure you're using EnergyPlus 8-4 and not the latest 8-5?

Is this the first time you have installed the plugin on a Windows 10 machine with SketchUP 2015. What happens if you try SketchUP 2016, does that solve the issue? Also do you have any other SketchUp plugin's installed?

The installation is with E+ 8-5 but I don't think that should make a difference. I've got the same suite of software/plug-ins/OS working on another computer. It did cross my mind that there might be a conflict with one of the other plug-ins. This is someone else's computer, though, so I hesitate to uninstall their plug-ins.

You can just temporarily disable the plugins, you don't have to uninstall them (Window > Preferences > Extensions > uncheck all plugins but the OS legacy)

If anyone else comes across this issue, we haven't completely answered the problem, but we did find a temporary solution. It looks like the problem is associated with having multiple Windows user accounts and SketchUp 2015. The folder that contains the plugin is here: Windows\UserName\Appdata\Roaming\Sketchup\Sketchup 2015. By renaming the folder from "Sketchup 2015" to "Sketchup" we were able to get Legacy OpenStudio to work properly. Phew!

I'm having a lot of trouble with openstudio plugg-in. I've instaled sketchup 2016, 8,1 energyplus and 1.0.11 Legacy OpenStudio. It works fine for small buildings.. but as I'm adding zones, the program just fails.. really weird things happens.. And make it impossible to run the simulation. It used to work fine for sketchup 8.. but I had to upgrade the program since it is no long supported by windows 10.

The developers of Legacy OpenStudio have come out with an update called Euclid (so as to avoid confusion with OpenStudio). I've tried Euclid with Sketchup 2015, 2016, and 2017 on Windows 10. They all run smoothly for me. You can download Euclid here: http://downloads.bigladdersoftware.co....
