Fan working control

Can some one explain me if the properties that we insert on the fans, like the flow, are only to affect the output energy consumption? Or do they affect the flow on our air loop?

Because I wanted to control both the flow and the temperature of the air on my loop, but I am not being able to have 2 setpoints to control the Flow and the Temperature.

So, if I specifythe flow on the Fan will it affect my cooling and heating loads?

The Input/Output Reference Guide and his companion the Engineering Reference Guide are your friends.

If you take the Fan:ConstantVolume object for example, you see that the flow is actually a "Maximum Flow Rate". I think the name is pretty self explanatory: your fan just won't be able to go over this maximum flow rate.

The engineering reference guide has interesting sections, such as Air Loops - Determination of Air Mass Flow Rates
