I'm new to Open Studio. I've read the other questions and answers on this but I still can't get this to work. I open Sketch Up and using the open studio tools draw myself a house. I then save it as an .osm file. I make a change and save it as a second .osm file. I then go to open the original file, it asks if I want to save the changes and I say no. But when I open the first file it is the save as the second file. It is like Open Studio is saving the same thing into every file.

Then when I exit Sketch Up and then start it up again and try and open the .osm file, nothing shows up on the screen. I can see that the file has data in windows explorer as there is 411kb of file size. But nothing shows up on the screen. This is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

What I am doing wrong. I've lost hours of work across multiple days as I can't get my files to ever reopen.

Make sure you use the OpenStudio save button and NOT the File > Save from sketchup.

Saving

I strongly suggest starting with reading the documentation, here's the Sketchup Plugin one

Another useful setting is to turn off the auto save preference, under Window > Preferences > General

Disabling autosave
