i'm doing a research assignment to study the impact of orientation change on the building total energy consumption and i'm using a very simple model to get me through, but when i showed my simulation results who does not use Openstudio but uses local Japanese software instead, anyway here are my simulation results for the 4 different orientations and the saving potential is almost negligibleC:\fakepath\Results.png(/upfiles/14631360369195398.png). i'm not using the legacy one.

Have you followed @Julien Marrecanswer to rotate your building ? If so, can you send us your .osm to check what's wrong ?

Perhaps you can check the thermal energy due to solar radiation entering the building instead of total site energy. Maybe the difference of site energy is small because in all the orientations, similar energy is required to bring the building to the selected conditions.

It does seem weird though and the model should tell more to the experts here that will take a look at it.

It does look like cooling increased by about 5% with the west facing window (and 10% pump increase). Heating load is so low and show with only see one significant digit I can't see if it is being impacted at all. With Heating and cooling being about 13% of your total consumption you aren't going to see a high percentage in total EUI percentage for the building with envelope changes.

do you mean i need to increase the heating and cooling load? i don't understand what i need to do now?
