I am trying to simulate a large VA outpatient clinic using CBECC-Com (for California compliance), and keep getting this error message:

* Severe * ControlCompOutput:AirTerminal:SingleDuct:ParallelPIU:Reheat:VAV3-241125-TRMHEAT 105, Min Control Flow is > Max Control Flow * ~~~ * Acuated Node=DHW1 - HOTWATER DEMAND SPLITTER OUTLET NODE 101 MinFlow=[0.000], Max Flow=-1.493E-002 * ~~~ * During Warmup, Environment=SAN-JOSE-INTL-AP ANN CLG 0.4% CONDNS DB=>MCWB, at Simulation time=08/21 23:45 - 24:00

There is nothing unusual about that VAV box... there are over 100 more like it. It is on the middle floor of a 3 story building, but not at the epicenter. I am using the EnergyPro GUI for input, so there might be a translation issue. If someone can better describe this error, so I can better pinpoint the problem, that would help. Does anyone know what is this about?

Is the HW inlet to that VAV box tied to the DHW system?

To start, I would suggest opening the .xml file in CBECC-Com. I find it is the cleanest version of the file, and allows you to more easily see where there might be translation issues. The GUI options are fantastic for quick model creation and editing, so I would still go back to EnergyPro after you pinpoint the issue.

Also, if the model is getting hung up on this error, it could also be a problem with the rest of the VAV boxes, its just that the simulation stopped here.
