In EnergyPlus, the Fan:OnOff component can cycle on and off, operating with the cooling and heating system. Currently the fan in my model is constantly operating at over 800W and the energy consumption by the fan is very high. I've put in an exponent performance curve, but the fan speed remained constant. What input needs to be altered for the fan:onoff to be in the "auto mode" where it shuts off when there is no heating or cooling and/or operate at variable speeds. Thank you

The "Supply Fan Operating Mode Schedule" controls this. Values of 0 for cycling, 1 for continuous. This schedule is available on all of the unitary systems and some of the zonal systems such as PTAC and PTHP.
