Model hot water storage tank with 2 coils
What's the best way to model a hot water storage tank with 2 coils (one supply by a natural gas boiler and the other supply by a solar collector)?

I'd put the natural gas boiler and the solar collector on the supply side of one plant loop and then a hot water heater with no heating capacity on the supply side of another plant loop. You can then put the hot water heater with zero capacity on the demand side of the plant loop with the boiler/solar collector. I'd love to have this methodology endorsed/criticized by someone else though.

Thanks adhilton. Two more things, there's anyway to put the priority in the solar collector? Can I have the same boiler in two different loop's?
Yes. The order in which you drag the objects into the loop will determine the priority. So just drag the solar collector in first, and then the boiler. If you check the output idf you should see under your hot water PlantEquipmentList
the solar collector is listed as Equipment Name 1
and the boiler is listed as Equipment Name 2
.
You can't have the same object as supply equipment in two different loops.
