Modeling More Than Two-Stage DX Cooling System

In reviewing a model I found the following attempt in what I assume is to model three 2-stage dx coil systems.

Everything is set to autosize for all three coil systems. Is this going to yield the desired results?

  1. It was my understanding that energyplus does not know how to split loads across dx coils in series. This would then mean the autosized parameters would not be correctly calculated.

  2. During the simulation will the coils be staged sequentially 1-3? I believe that it will operate either with all three compressors in low speed or all three compressors in high speed which would mean the three-two stage would create the same effect as one-two stage.

I think you should add a setpoint after the first and second DX coils to separate the load. The results should be close to the actual condition.
