What are .BINM and .FIN4 files in relation to weather data? And are they used in OpenStudio?

I purchased real weather data and they sent me three files. A .epw file, that I know how/where to implement, but also .BINM and .FIN4, what are these and are they implemented in the OpenStudio Application somewhere?

No they aren't. The '.fin4' is a processor file more or less proprietary to White Box. '.binm' is the DOE-2 weather file.

Yes, change .binm to .bin to use with DOE2 (eQuest, etc).

Read the white box FAQ here. There's a fin4 to bin (and vice versa) on the doe2 website. I've used for example to combine two weather files into one (say March 2014 to February 2015)
