In energyplus, can one add an object that simply insures that the room temperature is never below a minimum?
Like a node from which heat is flowing into the zone.. Convection, radiation, both or just one, i'm not looking for surface temperature, just room temperature.
The zoneHVACbaseboard types does not work for me..
I think you want the Ideal Loads Air System. This object can be used to meet the setpoint of a zone without explicitly modeling any equipment.
Yes I very much want to, and I also do so. But from the results I can see operative room temperature at 20,5C e.g... which does not make sense to me...
The setpoint will control the air temperature, not the operative temperature. If you want to control to a specified operative temperature you will have to use the ZoneControl:Thermostat:OperativeTemperature object.
Hey again - I hope it's alright to come back to you with a question :) I've tried to add a ZoneControl:Thermostat:OperativeTemperature object, but I get more (1021) hours below 21 degrees then before (774).. Originally I have IdealLoadAirSystem, Thermostat, duelsetpoint, design specification outdoor air, a equipment list and the connection (referring to the objects IdealLoadAirSystem requires).. but thats all needed according to what I can read from the webpage bigladder, it says: "Zone Control:Thermostatic and related set point objects also need to be included in the input file."

You could set the equipment to turn on once a setpoint condition is met like zone air temperature is below a threshold. You can also use EnergyPlus's EMS system to calculate a schedule that controls the fraction (0 to 1 of system operation) or a variable that controls the design level (how much heating provided).
Thank you for the advise and the link! I just read about "Other Equipment" in the input/output-reference, but I couldn't find a field where to define a setpoint for minimum room temperature.. Is that just me misunderstanding the object, or is that how it works?
@EnnaEnitsriK you are correct I incorrectly described the component, I thought you could set a Control Scheme. However, you can set a schedule for the component to follow or generate a schedule with the EMS. In the EMS Applications Guide of the EnergyPlus user manuals see Example 2 and Example 5. Definitely 5.
