Hi there, I have created an IDF file using OpenStudio SketchUp Plugin and exported the OpenStudio model as an Energy plus idf, with no warnings or errors. The problem is that the idf has not all the surfaces that the OpenStudio inspector shows me.I checked the OSM file with text editor and all the surfaces were there. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

See if this post helps. It's possible you made a space with surfaces, but didn't assign that space to a thermal zone. If that isn't the case, please provide more details about your workflow.

According to that post, I checked all spaces and thermal zones and there are not any unassigned thermal zones and each space in every thermal zone has surfaces. To be more specific, I have created each space by using 'new space' and each shading surface by using' new shading surface' from the OP Plug In when using Sketch Up. Maybe this is irrelevant, but I noticed that most of the missing surfaces are roofs or floors. But I'm only having problem with the surfaces on E+(it shows only 603 objects out of 681), whereas the subsurfaces and the shading surfaces are ok.

Thanks for the additional detail. If you have multiple spaces in a single thermal zone, any internal surfaces shared by two spaces within the zone won't become surfaces in EnergyPlus. They will become internal mass objects.

If that is what you are seeing, it is the expected behavior.
