Chiller Heat recovery Net metering

I am setting up a heat recovery chiller and want to connect the recovered heat to a campus hot water loop. Is this arrangement possible. Or is there a work around that I could use to determine the total heat rejected by the heat recovery chiller.

On similar count it is possible to have a chiller heater follow the heating load and transfer the excess chilled water to the campus chilled water loop.

Yes, this arrangement is possible. Please take a look at HeatRecoveryElectricChiller.idf example file.

Someone has asked a similar question HERE. You would need to connect chiller heat recovery stream to storage tank, then have the storage tank serve as HW supply to campus hot water loop. You will likely need to use a Fluid to Fluid HX object to have the chiller heat recovery water provide heat to the campus hot water loop. Reference the schematic below.
