TMY3 conversion to EPW

Hi,

I've received lately many TMY3 weather files (recent purchase of IWEC2). I'm looking to use them with EnergyPlus but doesn't seem to work with this type file. So now I'm looking into converting them into .epw file format.

Do you have please any idea to share to reach that goal?

Many Thanks, Nassim

Towards the bottom of the NSRDB TMY3 page, there is a link for a TMY3 to TMY2 converter. After you've converted to TMY2, you can use the EnergyPlus weather converter to convert the TMY2 to EPW.

The link seems broken. Any updates on where the TMY3 to TMY2 conversion utility currently is?

I don't know where it was moved to, but you can access the old page from here. I verified that I could still download it.

Thanks a lot! I was planning to have a TMY2 file for the TMY2 to EPW utility at EnergyPlus. While I was waiting for a reply here, I was also able to try creating a new EPW file from a TMY3-formatted csv file using Elements. Did it by manually copying certain columns from the spreadsheet.

At least I can now verify my EPW file by TMY3 to TMY2 conversion followed by TMY2 to EPW conversion in EnergyPlus.
