Many of my students had a problem with project loose geometry. When they push this button and OpenStudio wants to project subsurfaces in the surfaces and make them windows and doors, some of the subsurfaces don't distinguish as windows or doors and their colors don't change to blue. What is the problem with that?

Are you able to post images from before and after you run the project loose geometry command?

I typically avoid creating loose geometry when drawing exterior doors and windows.

I double-click on the exterior space to select it, and then draw windows on the surfaces...

If you have the space selected when you draw windows on the surfaces, the OS plugin should automatically create the appropriate subsurface without the need to project loose geometry.

When I attempted to draw windows like this OS did not recognize the box that was drawn as a window. Any theories why this might be the case?
