I'm using energyplus to simulate a data center. CRAC units with correspondingly high capacities often have 2 stages. So I 'm using the coil object Coil:Cooling:DX:TwoStageWithHumidityControlMode.

Is it necessary to set the "Enhanced Dehumidification Mode" to 1 for the control types "CoolReheat" and "Multimode"? Or are both of these parameters independent of each other?

Furthermore I'm not sure which control type is the right one for typical CRAC units?

Per the documentation (scroll down to field "Number of Enhanced Dehumidification Modes"), yes this field should be set to 1 for enhanced dehumidification control types. In E+ v 8.3, example file 1ZoneDataCenterCRAC_wPumpedDXCoolingCoil.idf models data center with CRAC units which could be a good starting point here.

Thank you for your evidence. But the example file does only use the object "Coil:Cooling:DX:SingleSpeed". And so it would be interesting if somebody use also the object "TwoStageWithHumidityControlMode" with their specifies parameter for simulating data centers.

A simulation with the "CoolReheat" mode also takes much more time. I'am not sure about the difference for the both modes.
