Energyplus crash

I have used Openstudio (1.8.5), and then it works well so far. When I open EP-launch in the folder of Openstudio and push a simulate botton, Eneryplus always shows the error message 'crash'. Therefore, I uninstall the Openstudio, and install only Enerygplus, then, Energyplus works well. Is not is possible to independently use EP-launch installed in the folder of Openstudio? I really want to do this, because Openstduio has not cover all functions of Energyplus. It is necessar to input more information after Openstudio creates a model (idf file), using EP-launch. If the current EP-launch of Openstuio does not work independently, I need to prepare two PCs. Please answer this question.

I was able to reproduce this even when running EP-Launch as an admin. I believe that the issue is likely due to EP-Launch writing to the executable directory, OpenStudio installs to Program Files which has reduced permissions. I would recommend installing EnergyPlus separately if you want to use EP-Launch, EP-Launch may be removed from the OpenStudio install at some point anyway.
