I am trying to Determine the Effects of Wind Speed on my Simulation. For this I would need to Frequently change the Zone Outdoor Air Wind Speed. Can I do this by an EMS code? or Do I need to Modify the Weather data file every time with the desired Wind Speed?

Any Help will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Nadish Anand

Yes, it is possible. See https://bigladdersoftware.com/epx/doc... If you generate the edd file, you will find an actuator of the kind:

EnergyManagementSystem:Actuator Available,Environment,Weather Data,Wind Speed,[m/s]

Thank you for the quick reply on my question. Bu I am afraid I have a followup question. How Can I generate this EDD file? I checked the Files generated after one of my simulations in EPlus, an EDD file is not one of them. Do I need to adjust something in my IDF file to generate EDD?

Thank you again for your help.

Sincerely,

Nadish Anand

I recommend you to read the EMS Application Guide and take a look at the example files with EMS (or the sample programs in the Guide).

There's an example of a minimal EMS program here (which is needed to generate the EDD file).
