Setpoint manager for DX coils workaround
Hello all,
I'm trying to model a heat pump that outputs a maximum of 70F hot air for both a DX heating coil, and a gas coil. The intention is for the gas coil to operate at outdoor air temperatures of 40F or lower, and the DX coil to operate at outdoor air temperatures of 40F - 60F.
I am able to get both coils working at the correct temperature range, but I am unable to limit the DX heating coil to a maximum of 70F. The gas coil properly limits at 70F, but not the DX coil.
I'm using EnergyPlus 8.9 (output from an older version of DesignBuilder), but I have also transitioned the same file to the current v26.1 and I don't see any different field in the Coil:Heating:DX:SingleSpeed object, nor the AirLoopHVAC:UnitaryHeatPump:AirToAir object.
Since the temperature limitation field is in the heatpump object, I don't think I have a lot of options other than to manipulate the individual coil objects, in which case, is there a way to use the Availability Schedule to operate by OA temperature, and not by time?
Are there other options I haven't considered yet?
Thanks.

What have you tried? What fields are you using?
