Is there a guide or manual on how to use EnergyPlus & OpenStudio to model a well insulated passive solar 1 or 2 storey house with direct gain or sunspace or trombe wall at latitude 52 deg North?

The investigations that I have looked at do not appear to have used EnergyPlus and Open Studio to model individual houses.

Not a definitive answer by any means ...

Haven't yet come across a single, comprehensive guide/manual on using OpenStudio/EnergyPlus for passive solar housing design/modelling. Guidance is pretty spread out online, e.g. ResearchGate papers, IBPSA papers (e.g. on Trombe walls). Search UMH for keywords like "passiv".

I suggest first getting really familiar with low-energy housing modelling (e.g. BEopt, other resources suggested here), before enabling more expert features like multizone airflow network modelling.

You'll also find guidance/features for applications that use OpenStudio and/or EnergyPlus as backengines, like ClimateStudio, LBT.
