Hi all,

I’m working on a project where we have detailed fan performance curves available for mechanically ventilated systems. Currently, we’re estimating fan energy for proposed case using spreadsheets based on simple multiplication of fan power and operating hours, which doesn’t reflect dynamic conditions.

I’d like to know:

1.How can we accurately model fan performance in DesignBuilder using the available fan curves? Is there a way to input these curves directly or simulate variable performance based on system load?

2.How should we account for additional electrical loads such as terrace lighting and external PHE pump operations, especially when they are powered through the building’s main distribution board?

Any guidance on best practices or relevant features in DesignBuilder or EnergyPlus would be greatly appreciated.
