Openstudio fault creation

Hi, I'm new to OpenStudio simulation. I'm working on HVAC FDD I am trying to create faults in the OpenStudio healthy condition model, I read papers where they just mention the overall work not a detailed work how to do the job exactly, I'm trying to generate data with the consideration of the fault severity and the range of load. if you have any sources or ideas please share it with me, I'm really struggling with this now (I don't know ruby language). Advance thanks for your time and consideration!!
