I just installed the latest OpenStudio 1.9 for Sketchup 2025 but cannot find 'Construction:AirBoundary' or 'AirWall' anywhere. Please tell me what I need to do.

The AirWallMaterial class is deprecated, removed back in 2022 (SDK 3.5.0 release).

Using the OpenStudio Application ("App"), go to the Constructions subtab (under the Constructions tab), and create a new Air Boundary Construction.

Go to the Surfaces subtab (under the "Spaces" tab), and drag-n-drop the new Air Boundary Construction to both paired interzone surfaces.

You can safely reopen the updated model using the SketchUp Plugin.

Thank you for the tip! Interesting thing is, when I replaced a standard interior wall (incl. insulation) with air boundary, the overall energy consumption was reduced. This is quite opposite to what I was expecting, as I'd thought restricting the air/ light movement between different thermal zones would be better for energy efficiency. If HVAC in room A is turned off after 6pm, but kept going in room B, it should be more energy efficient if there was a physical barrier between the spaces but this is not what I got in the simulation...

I'd say that greatly depends on what's happening in each room. But that sounds like a separate UMH question :].
