Add thermochromic material group in OpenStudio Application 1.9
I am a beginner. I did not find an entry point in OpenStudio Application 1.9 to create and define a thermochromic material group. And it is also impossible to import materials from idf that already have thermochromic material groups into OpenStudio Application 1.9 to open. Does this mean that I should export the simulation file and then make further modifications in EnergyPlus before running the simulation?

However, there are known issues with the implementation of the ThermochromicGlazing class - an SDK issue, not an App issue. You can always reopen the issue.
... and so, yes: you're left with either adding your own EnergyPlus measure, or editing the generated IDF by hand.
