Radiant cooling system in EnergyPlus does not produce any sensible cooling?
Hi! I have modelled a cooling tower connected thermally activated building system (pipes in roof and floor) in EnergyPlus (based on the RadLoTempHydCoolTower.idf file. The cooling tower water temperature follows the outdoor air wet bulb temperature. My building is in a hot and humid zone and the supply water temperatures are close to 24C to 25C. My experiments show no condensation on the inside surfaces of the building, but energyplus simulations show condensation shutoff despite reducing condensation dewpoint control offset. Further, the surface and indoor air temperatures seem to be extremely low compared to my experimental data and the system does not produce any zone sensible cooling.
I have tried changing setpoints, increasing water temperatures, increasing water flow rates etc. but for some reason EnergyPlus underestimates the indoor parameters and overestimates the indoor humidity leading to no sensible cooling and condensation occurrence. Is there any method to solve this issue?
