Inlet Coil Temperature for Air Chiller in EnergyPlus
Hi everyone,
I am modeling a refrigerated warehouse in EnergyPlus and took inspiration from the refrigerated warehouse example provided by EnergyPlus. In my model, I use the European Standard Conditions model to define the air chillers. The cooling capacity of the air chillers is calculated using this equation below.
where ΔT=(Tcoil, inlet−Tevap). The wet coil factor and ΔT depend on the inlet coil temperature (Tcoil, inlet), while other variables like QNominal and ΔTRated are user-defined.
I want to verify the cooling capacity predicted by my model through post-processing, but I cannot find an output variable for the inlet coil temperature in EnergyPlus. In the example, I noticed that a "Zone Return Air Node" is defined in the "ZoneHVAC:EquipmentConnections" object. According to the Input Output Reference, this node represents the state of the air leaving the zone, including heat gains from lights, refrigeration equipment, or airflow windows.
I am wondering if the "System Node Temperature" output variable for this "Zone Return Air Node" could be used as the inlet coil temperature for my air chiller. Could anyone confirm if this is correct or suggest another way to get the inlet coil temperature in EnergyPlus?
Thanks in advance for your help!
