I downloaded OpenStudioApplication-1.8.0 and openstudio-sketchup-plugin v1.8.0 and I keep getting this message after inputting the Root Directory. Any idea how to fix this? I checked the compatibility matrix and there shouldn't be any issues.

Error reads as follows:

"Error loading OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-In: dlopen(/Applications/OpenStudioApplication-1.8.0/Ruby/ openstudio_modeleditor.bundle, 0x0009): tried: '/Applications/ OpenStudioApplication-1.8.0/Ruby/ openstudio_modeleditor.bundle' (macho file, but is an incompatible architecture (have 'x86_64', need 'arm64e' or 'arm64')), '/System/Volumes/Preboot/Cryptexes/OS/Applications/OpenStudioApplication-1.8.0/Ruby/openstudio_modeleditor.bundle' (no such file), '/Applications/ OpenStudioApplication-1.8.0/Ruby/openstudio_modeleditor.bundle' (macho file, but is an incompatible architecture (have 'x86_64', need 'arm64e' or 'arm64')) - /Applications/OpenStudioApplication-1.8.0/Ruby/openstudio_modeleditor.bundle

Do you want to check the version compatibility matrix? "

You may have selected the wrong installer for the OpenStudioApplication. What architecture/chip on your Mac?

  • Intel? install the x86 installer
  • ARM (M1, M4)? install the ARM64 installer
