VRF coils in VAV air terminal

Is there a way in EnergyPlus (or DesignBuilder) to model VRF coils connected to a VRF Outdoor Unit in a VAV air terminal?

The only way I found to model something similar is by using a VRF Indoor Unit, but the unit has a fan and isn't directly connected to my rooftop unit, which I need to precondition the air.

There were issues reported when attempting to connect both a VRF system in the AirLoop and zone-level VRFs to the same outdoor unit, as reported in this post: https://unmethours.com/question/80893...

According to the post, the setup should work as long as the central air VRF and the zone-level VRF are not linked to the same outdoor unit.

Not in DesignBuilder. It would also be nice if a VRF coil could be added to an air handling unit.

The ZoneHVAC:TerminalUnit:VariableRefrigerantFlow may be used in the outdoor air system. See the IO Reference doc for this object.

"The VRF terminal unit may be used as zone, air loop or outside air system equipment."

For the fields that specify a fan, e.g., Supply Air Fan Object Type and Supply Air Fan Object Name:

"This field may be left blank when the VRF terminal unit is used as air loop or
 outdoor air system equipment."
