Adding a Dehumidifier:Desiccant:NoFans

Hi, I am relatively new to OpenStudio and I am trying to add a Dehumidifier:Desiccant:NoFans in order to reduce the humidity in the supplied air. I intend to use the Dehumidifier:Desiccant:NoFans with a Evaporative Cooler already in OpenStudio. I wrote an EnergyPlus measure to add the object into the model. In the console, the measure is successfully added but it does not affect the simulation. What could be the issue?
