I am simulating a naturally-ventilated building in the tropics. Each room has wall fans that increase the air velocity in the room. I have tried using DesignFlowRate and that seems to increase the adaptive comfort variables in my simulation. I also have WindAndStackOpenArea for each operable window in the building.

However, some of the results in the Annual Thermal Resilience Summary seem almost impossible, such as having only a few hours of safety throughout a year. I can only think my lack of inputs for air velocity are to blame. Otherwise, I am unsure why I am getting such high values for heat index and hours of safety.

Am I correct in this assumption? If so, how do I specify the air velocity of a room caused by wall fans?
