I was able to reproduce this issue, I think it might be a bug in OpenStudio Application 1.7.0 related to the new search bar in the library. I've filed this issue to track it: https://github.com/openstudiocoalition/OpenStudioApplication/issues/681. In the meantime, can you try using OpenStudio Application 1.6.0? Do you see this same behavior in version 1.6.0?
