I have managed to connect the air loop to the Fan coil zone system via the AirTerminal:SingleDuct:Mixer object.
This object takes air from the air loop, mixes it with the zone exhaust air and feeds it into the zone equipment.
An example of this type of scheme is available in the library: DOAToFanCoilInlet.
