The report variable Cooling Coil Total Cooling Rate is actually the air-side total cooling rate and should be equal to the water-side load on the plant imposed by the water coil. You can test this by calculating the water-side energy rate using the mass flow rate of the water coil outlet node (using the report variable System Node Mass Flow Rate) and multiplying by the water-side enthalpy difference between water coil inlet and outlet node ( difference of System Node Enthalpy at water coil inlet and outlet). This load is passed to the plant and is added to any pump heat or piping losses (may be 0 if not modeled) to equal the total chiller load (Chiller Evaporator Cooling Rate).
