Speaking about glare sensors, the views are all hemispherical fisheye views, with the view vector perpendicular to the point origin. The vector can be rotated about the z in the plugin or via measure or whatever. If you specify multiple views, they are arrayed radially and uniformly about the sensor's insertion point. In the case of multiple views, the first one is defined by the aim or rotation about the z, and the remaining views are in order, clockwise about the z.
