The blue solid lines that surround spaces when you click on them are just "indicators" -- they tell you that all of the space's surfaces and other geometry items are contained inside of that box. The OpenStudio model only cares about where the surfaces and other geometry aspects of spaces are drawn -- it does not use the location of the blue solid lines at all.
