For design purposes, EnergyPlus uses the total zone primary airflow for Vps, as required by ASHRAE 62.1. During the simulation, Vps is the actual total supply flow which can be significantly different.

For design purposes, EnergyPlus uses the total zone primary airflow for Vps, Vps, as required by ASHRAE 62.1. During the simulation, Vps Vps is the actual total supply flow which can be significantly different.
Also, during the simulation Vpz is based on the mass flow rate entering the zone converted to volume flow rate using the air density entering the zone.
