The unmet hours could be significantly reduced (from 500+ to 160) by making sure that the design day temperatures for the VRF system were at least 5 degrees C above the operating temps for the run period. @Annie Marston further discovered an additional reduction in unmet hours by exporting the model to E+ and cleaning out the optional arguments in the zone System Sizing and Zone Sizing objects.
