You should be able to select surfaces that reflect the floor plan of one floor of your building and use the "Create Spaces from Outline" command. Your sketchup geometry won't be deleted when you do this but once you save using the OS toolbar command, you can close the sketchup file, reload the model and you should be good to go leaving you with just the OS model. Other than that tracing is going to be your next best option. You might be able to copy and pate in place too, haven't tried it out though. Whatever the case, make sure you're drawing on a space by space basis and not drawing everything into one space.
