That's a good question. In a future version of PAT you will be able to set any design alternative to be the 'baseline' for reporting purposes.
I see a few options now.
- The clean option would be to put an HVAC system in the baseline model, then for each design alternative add a measure that removes all HVAC equipment, before running measure to add new system. We do have measures that do this along with other things, but not a dedicated measure for this. Need to think about things like if SWH loops are also removed, zone exhuast, the air loop diagram (which zones are on which loops, is that maintained).
- The quick ugly way would be to just have no HVAC system or ideal air loads in the baseline, and then create a design alternative that represents your baseline. You can still compare it against others my how much saver over the no-HVAC baseline run.
