On people's suggestion, here's a Slack as well: https://unmethours.slack.com/signup.

Apparently Slack is more user friendl, I have to agree IRC is a bit plain and can feel outdated.

We'll see what people start to use more and kill the other.

The problem right now is that slack doesn't let anyone join (you have to specify which email domains can join, and I can list them all). Until we work something better, use the following google form to add your email address. One of the slack admins will invite you to join.

Also, anyone using an email address from one of the following domains doesn't need to be invited specifically: @unmethours.com, @bigladdersoftware.com, @effibem.com, @nrel.gov, @altanova-energy.com, @ornl.gov @ornl.gov, @lbnl.gov and @lbnl.gov. @bigladdersoftware.com. They're all pre-approved.
