Modeling a dome building envelope in EnergyPlus [closed]
Is it possible to model a non-traditional building envelope like a dome in EnergyPlus?

You can, but the dome needs to be built up out of planer surfaces. If you are going to have glazing then the sur-surfaces need to be triangles or rectangles. Here is a post about domes specific to OpenStudio, but the same logic applies if using another modeling tool to make IDF files. There is a link to various domes on SketchUp's 3D warehouse.
