Recent geolocation based EPW files
I run a company that makes a product called Ambiator, It's a 100% Outdoor Air Cooling system for hot and dry climates, for this we had a need for precise weather data for our internal simulations, this led to something interesting that made us build a solution for ourselves to simulate how Ambiator would work anywhere in the world.
While doing this we realized that we were stuck with the TMY format for a limited number of locations that had weather stations or airports, being from a developing part of the world we couldn't get accurate data for a majority of locations where our customers were and the weather data of the nearest weather station was way to distant from reality, so we ended up building a tool that would give us pin point location data instead of the nearest weather station with the option to choose the year out of a 10 year range.
