Low emissivity white
Not an active user of energy modeling, but figured out this is where I might find people who actually understand radiative heat transfer.
Where can I find a radiant barrier with low emissivity (in infrared) that looks white (in visible spectrum)? I know this is technically possible. The patents on this are so old they mostly expired - but I can't find any actual product I can buy. In everything I check, the low-E side is not white, and the white side is not low-E.
There is work in a few universities on paint with this property. Much harder to make than a film. I suspect they are trying to push it so they can have something new to patent...
