I am Master Mechanical Engineering student that has a task on doing Energy simulation of a luxurious villa, started trough using openstudio plugin in sketchup, made 3 story building, every room i represented with one space, when I did Intersect and entered Render by Boundary condition I saw my floors/ceilings being red coloured and grey(some of them), afterwards checking with chatgpt i proceeded to do Matching in sections(I did not do this once, I saved my document earlier so every time something goes wrong I start from the begining, so I tried couple times different suff). After I do the Matching surfaces are not what they should look like, can somebody help, also provide some usefull tips or literature for openstudio or energy plus, I have seen similar question but not quite the same, if someone knows what is this about please let me know!!

Open your altered .osm file with the OpenStudio Application:

  • click on the Geometry tab
  • select "Geometry Diagnostics"
  • go through the Diagnostics Tools (e.g. Potential Adjacency Issues)

I'd start with that. Otherwise, consider sharing your initial, unaltered .osm (e.g. publicly-accessible Google Drive).

Hello Denis, seems like I have fixed this problem, but now having another one, Is there a way you could take a look of what I did it is not supper complicated and give your opinion on what should I do, I recently posted a question about that and I need guidance since I am doing this for my Masters! Thanks in advance!!

I provided a few suggestions in one of your other posts.

In none of your posts do you provide a link to your .osm file. This makes it challenging for anyone (I suspect) to pinpoint potential issues. If you click on my name (link), you'll find my email address - you can always send me your model.
