OS Crashing when packaged unit on an existing air loop is deleted

I have an existing air loop with a packaged unitary system that I want to replace with a different unitary system. When I attempt to delete the existing system, OS crashes. I have attempted to remove the existing packaged unit both before and after adding the alternative unit to the loop, but in both cases the crash occurs. I can remove a plant loop as well as elements within a plant loop without issue. I can delete the entire air loop or coils/other objects that are not packaged units. I opened the OSM in a text editor and removed the system, coils, and fan, which then opens in OS but then crashes when I try to open the systems tab. I expect I am leaving other objects that cause the continued error. This appears to be a bug in OS 2.4 directly related to packaged systems. Any workaround beyond deleting the entire air loop and starting from scratch?

@jkneifel Could you post a link to your model?

@jkneifel I was able to re-produce this on clean model, and I have filed a bug. https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/is.... I'll post an answer when I have more information and a solution.
